The Conservation Center is soliciting applicants to join the company’s Sales Department as an Associate Client Services Representative. Role responsibilities are focused on leads, opportunities, and account management as projects develop. The Associate Client Services Representative works quickly, promptly, and accurately to ensure the satisfaction of The Center’s clients through the quality and accuracy of artwork documentation. This is a detail-oriented role that provides exposure to nearly all aspects of conservation.

Responsibilities
  • Answering telephone and email inquiries.

  • Scheduling artwork deliveries, drop-offs, and pick-ups.

  • Scheduling shipments of artwork with internal shipping team and art handling networks.

  • Managing accounts from private clients, institutions, corporations, and insurance companies.

  • Preparing client quotes, processing approvals, and updating data in accounting and CRM systems.

  • Generating, revising, and sending out condition and treatment reports.

  • Creating work orders for approved treatments.

  • Generating post-treatment reports for completed projects.

  • Maintaining correspondence with clients throughout the conservation process.

  • Occasional travel and on-call weekends may be required.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required with a background in art history, curatorial studies, or fine art preferred. Knowledge of current practices in art conservation is a plus.

  • Previous sales experience is a plus.

  • Willingness to adapt and take on new roles as needed is crucial.

  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Ability to work in disaster response and triage situations.

  • Superior writing skills, grammar, and syntax are required.

  • Must exhibit excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills, as well as the ability to multi-task, self-motivate, and work within strict deadlines.

  • Superior accuracy and attention to detail are required.

  • The candidate must be highly adept and comfortable doing basic mathematical calculations.

  • High proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel are required.

  • Ability to adapt to new software platforms is essential.

  • Previous experience working in Quickbooks, Salesforce, and Wrike is a plus.

This is a full-time salaried position, which requires occasional travel. The position also requires on-call availability one weekend each month. Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience - benefits include medical insurance, vacation pay, and a 401 (k) retirement plan.
