ATELIER 4 INC is a leading provider of world-wide fine-arts shipping & logistics services. After a successful first year of growth, we are seeking an experienced Manager for our thriving branch in Charlotte NC. This position is full-time (Monday thru Friday) and reports directly to the NY-based COO.

Responsibilities

Employment duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Overall branch management, company quality control, supervise ops (trucking, storage, crating).

  • Oversee building open/close, manage alarm & security procedures, landlord’s point of contact.

  • Staff supervision; manage/dispatch shift schedules, assist NY-based HR with payroll data, etc.

  • Review resumes, conduct interviews & on-boarding, advise mgmt re hiring, performance, etc.

  • Client interaction & on-site services as needed, art handler training for company techs.

  • Supervise NC materials & vendors sourcing, liaison to freight agents, and vehicle leasing & repair.

  • Assist Controller with fiscal oversight; manage local petty cash, checking acct, Amex purchases.

  • Act as security coordinator for TSA & IAC related activities (under tutelage from A4-NY FF Dept).

Requirements

Successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Five or more years employment in art handling or logistics supervisory position.

  • Broad knowledge of art handling practices, materials, installation, and protocol.

  • College or Associates degree, or equivalent U.S. military experience.

  • Strong communication skills, both written & verbal; experience with MS-office systems & excel.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.A.

  • Employment subject to Transportation Security Administration STA approval.

Note: This position includes assignment of building keys & alarm codes, company credit card, etc. Criminal, credit, and/or motor vehicle background checks to be run at the company’s discretion

Starting salary is dependent on experience level & qualifications. A4 will provide training on its jobs bookings database and internal systems. There will be a four month probationary period to provide training and to assess new hire’s abilities at the supervisory level.
