Senior Project Coordinator

The Getty Conservation Institute (GCI) is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator to support the Web and Digital Initiatives department. The position will be based in the GCI office at the Getty Center and will support the GCI’s web presence on as well as a variety of complex international projects including the Arches and DISCO projects.


Applies comprehensive knowledge of Institutional and departmental policies and procedures to complete a wide range of complex project coordination tasks. Assists in the creation and tracking of contracts, including communication with outside vendors and processing invoices for payment. Will assist in the preparation of budget materials and tracks, monitors, and reports on project budget expenditures. Coordinates logistics for complicated international travel and prepares travel documents and expense reports. Will track changes to the web and regularly monitor web content for accuracy. Updates the GCI’s web content using a variety of web programming tools, scan and adjust images for publication on the web, assist with testing of new content, and analyze statistics of web usage. Arranges logistics and assists international visitors to the Institute. May help coordinate international meetings, training courses, conferences, seminars, etc. as needed.

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 4-6 years of experience coordinating projects is required.

  • Candidates must be detailed-oriented with strong time management skills, able to effectively handle multiple demands and shifting priorities. Must be a good problem-solver with strong written, verbal communication, and listening skills. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and HTML Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Familiarity with Google Analytics strongly desired.
