Berlin-based private dealer and advisory firm seeks independent archivist to digitize and organize company records.

Candidates should have ca. three years of experience as an archivist in a commercial or institutional fine arts setting.

Galerie Neuendorf is a Berlin-based private dealer and advisory firm that was founded as a gallery in Hamburg in 1964.

The gallery closed its physical space in 1995 and functions as a private fine art dealer.

Payment on a project basis commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
  • Archiving and digitizing paper records.

  • Organizing digital files into a database to help directors easily locate and look up records.

  • Scanning files, photographs, transparencies.

  • Procuring necessary equipment and organizing and directing outside contractors if necessary.

Requirements

Highly organized, efficient, and independent personality is an absolute must.

At least three years of archival or record-keeping experience in commercial or institutional fine arts setting.

German and English language is preferable, but not necessary.
