Kayne Griffin is looking for an experienced Archivist to fill a full-time position. The position is one of primary importance at the gallery and entails managing a varied array of tasks and projects ranging from photography/video documentation, archive management, digital strategy coordination, and website/technology management.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and articulate with excellent communication skills. The ability to work in a professional manner and handle confidential information with discretion is necessary. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are critical to this position. We are looking for someone who will bring a positive attitude to our team-oriented organization.



  • Maintain the gallery’s archive, collecting and filing artist press, correspondence, announcements, catalogues, and other materials

  • Update artist biographies and maintain physical and digital press kits

  • Oversee all photography and ensure professional photography of all completed artworks

  • Oversee image management including: scheduling, archiving, and distributing as needed

  • Oversee and implement inhouse photography and video documentation

  • Website upkeep

  • Organize, support, implement Digital Strategies initiatives as they relate to website, social media platforms, online exhibitons, and press materials

  • Work with offsite tech support in ensuring smooth technical operations at the gallery



  • Minimum of two years of experience working with archival collections, preferably in a gallery or museum setting.

  • Must be extremely detail-oriented and organized.

  • Possess excellent time management and written and verbal communication skills.

  • Photography and video producing and editing required.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop, as well as artwork inventory databases or other content management systems.
