Compensation:
Minimum $20/hr + benefits, additional dependent on experience

Primary responsibilities
Ability to read and process crate designs to given specifications.
Safely operate power tools and related equipment to manufacture individually designed wood crates for the handling, packing, and shipping of fine art, antiques and artifacts.
Prepare insulation, cushioning foams and inner packing materials according to a variety of design specifications.
Perform shop maintenance, safety inspections, and other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Participate in training in the areas of shop safety and production.
Secondary Responsibilities
Load and unload crates and supplies at facility.
Travel to clients’ homes and businesses to assist road team on as-needed “swing” basis (negotiable if no art handling experience).
Crater must have existing carpentry skills with previous professional experience, and ability to take instruction, communicate clearly, then work independently.
No prior crate-specific experience needed, but must be able to create precise and aesthetic work product, as well as learn and incorporate feedback.
Candidate must be able to take appropriate care in high-value warehouse environment.
Forklift skills a plus, but not required.
Must be able to lift heavy sheet goods safely.
Must be vaccinated for COVID-19.
