Our ideal candidate will be responsible for safely handling artwork of all kinds, as well as supporting the team with handling and receiving. Our art handlers will need to be proficient and experienced in installing and de-installing artwork. You would also be required to safely pack artwork and crating. This position is temporary for the Art Fair season, which includes weekends, but may be able to assist the team with future art handling projects. Being skilled in carpentry is a plus as we may have some building and construction needs during the season.
Responsibilities
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, art wrapping and packing, transporting, installation/de-installation, crate collections and deliveries.
Requirements
Must take direction well from Management
Capable of working independently
Good customer service skills
Adept working with tools necessary for art handling
MUST be experienced in installation/de-installation
Knowledge of packing and unpacking artwork safely
Ability to safely lift 40-50lbs individually
Carpentry is a plus
