Art Warehouse/Registration Technician
Location: Toronto, Keele St and St. Clair Ave. W
Salary/Rate: starting at $22/hour, commensurate with experience
Duration: Permanent, Full-time
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
Shift Information: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm (availability to work evenings and weekends as projects require)

Job Details:
museumpros Collections Care Department is looking to hire an individual who is passionate about art, art handling, and collections management to join our team. Reporting directly to the Collections and Art Warehouse Managers, the Art Warehouse/Registration Technician will work to provide the highest quality of art storage and registration services to museumpros’ diverse clientele.
Assists Warehouse Manager in:
daily work orders (packaging and handling artwork)
moving stored objects in warehouse, maximizing spatial utilization while maintaining artwork safety
loading and unloading trucks for shipments and field jobs
staging outgoing artworks and anticipating incoming shipments by designating spaces in advance
installs for client viewing appointments
Assists the Collections Manager with measuring and inventorying incoming artworks
Keeps warehouse consistently clean, useable, and client-ready
Prioritizes the safety of personnel and artworks, adhering to company operational guidelines at all times
Assists in upkeep of warehouse equipment and systems including forklift and HVAC
May require occasional fieldwork including packing, delivery and installation of artworks in client’s homes, offices, and galleries
Key Qualifications:
Combination of work experience and/or education in the fine art industry
Experience in art handling/wrapping techniques and storage best practices is an asset
Ability to lift heavy objects
Experience operating warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) is an asset
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, 2nd language is an asset
Strong organizational skills, with keen attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Demonstrated history of teamwork
Valid G Class Driver’s License
