E2 ARTSPACE in Bergamot Station Arts Center is a new entity looking for a passionate and vibrant person to join our team to manage operations on Saturdays. This requires both vision and follow through, a love of art, enthusiasm, initiative, attention to detail and strong visual aesthetic. A team player that is able to oversee a dynamic arts environment with a sense of humor and flexibility. The artspace hosts art workshops for children and young adults bi-monthly and creates four exhibitions per year.

This is an exciting creative and multi-faceted position, which will allow the successful candidate to participate in how their role develops. It is a wonderful opportunity to develop and build an exciting, vibrant new arts space in the historic Bergamot Station Arts Center.


Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Responsible for all aspects of the art space every Saturday from 10:00-6:00 pm

Facilitate bi-monthly art workshops with local schools and community groups of all ages.

The ability to work independently is essential, with a drive to take a project from conception to completion.

An ability to present art in new and interesting ways.

Working knowledge of Adobe suite (Photoshop, In Design), Mac OS, Microsoft Office is preferred.

Familiarity with art collection databases would be beneficial.

Communicate with visitors - develop the galleries public facing engagement with visitors, the local community and interested parties.

Nurture and engage with arts organizations, schools and partners as required and develop an active engagement with the local community.

Website — Manage and update website content as needed.

Social Media – Must have a strong understanding and ability to build our social media presence on all appropriate platforms.



Experience working within an art environment, art gallery or related field.

Experience in the field of art education preferred.

BA in an arts related field preferred.

An enthusiasm and knowledge of art and art history is required, with a specific interest in photography and painting and art making in all its forms.

Detail oriented, focused, with excellent verbal and written communications skills.

A history of initiating projects and seeing them through is essential.

Problem solver with imaginative solutions and ideas.
