Provide support to the Photography & Media Manger and the Communications Department in the maintenance of digital, film and printed ephemera archives. The position will be responsible for organizing the image archive, the gallery library, and the physical materials of the gallery and artist archives. Responsibilities also include clearing, gathering, organizing, and delivering all necessary files for image reproduction, publication, and copyright requests, arranging artwork photography, creating presentation materials for the gallery directors, and supporting all image-related needs of the President.

Systematically review ArtBase and ArtBinder images and update as needed
Organize all new and incoming images and add to all appropriate sections of ArtBase and image archives on the gallery server
Facilitate the transfer of artwork photography from film to digital
Organize and maintain gallery library
Research and propose an indexing system for the physical archives of the gallery and gallery artists
Maintain the publication and ephemera archive for each artist
Assist with formatting and altering or updating images for website, sales, or other project related instances
Possible minor video editing and/or production
Monitor image requests
Support all images and caption information needs for the President and Directors
Correspond with artist studios, museums, and other galleries regarding image requests
Assist with other gallery responsibilities as needed
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

Work Environment:
Typically, indoors in an office type environment
Occasional offsite travel and/or errands

Desired Skills and Experience:
BA in Fine Art, Library Science, Graphic Design, or related field
Minimum one year of gallery, museum, or related experience
Minimum one year experience with ArtBase Database, Mac proficient
Working knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro and Zoom
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Extremely detail oriented and accuracy focused
Strong ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
Exceptional planning, organizing and execution of both immediate needs and long term projects
Capable of working independently as well as with a team
