The RISD Museum is pleased to announce an opening for a Marketing Associate.

As one of the three largest university art museums in the United States, the RISD Museum is a place for investigation, transformation and creative process. Responsibilities

Under supervision of the Deputy Director of External Affairs, the Museum Marketing Associate provides operational and administrative support for, and assists in, the planning, coordination and implementing of a variety of marketing and public relations related logistics, activities and projects. Generates reports and queries; prepares charts and graphs to highlight trends; and helps analyze data. Develops, recommends, and implements a comprehensive social media and email marketing campaigns; coordinates and manages the Museum’s relationship with local and tourist organizations; and maintains site pages and/or records relating to departmental activities and expenses, files, and press clippings.

Requirements

Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least two years marketing communications experience, preferably in the creative arts industry. Demonstrated experience with social media platforms, campaign development and database/systems.

Ability to perform multiple tasks quickly, work independently, with moderate supervision. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to represent the Museum in a professional manner. Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) Filemaker, or other database management, Photoshop are necessary.

Familiarity with website content management is encouraged. Ability to stay abreast of best marketing practices within museum industry and to manage and coordinate large scale communications internally and externally. Proven ability to interact with members of the community representing diverse backgrounds and interests.
