We’re not your run of the mill ex-print shop agency, nor an experiential guerilla social agency. What we are is a small, tight-knit very good branding and design agency, and we’re looking to expand our team.

We’re on the hunt for a high-quality artworker to join us in our Newbury studio. The role will involve working on a wide range of projects — from rolling out new brands across literature and marketing campaigns, to creating print and online ads, to POS and packaging. All of that variety across clients in sectors including food and beverage, property and even a Premier League football club.

Responsibilities

You’ll be creating print and digital ready artwork, ensuring that it’s all delivered on time and to the highest standards. So strong technical skills, a deep knowledge of print techniques and having the skills to produce online ads are required. You’ll have an excellent eye for detail and work seamlessly in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop (retouching skills are a must!). Colour profiles, media bars, animated gif banners and scatter proofs will be second nature to you. Knowledge of After Effects, XD and HTML5 would be a bonus.

Our agency is collaborative, social and busy on multiple projects in parallel (hence the ad!). You’ll have the ability to self manage your time, handle multiple projects to tight deadlines with a calm and positive approach. This will see you fit right in and become a key member of our friendly creative team.

Apart from the obvious (good communicator, motivated, team player, not a complete plank), we’re also looking for someone who will feel comfortable managing their own time and collaborating with others to get stuff done. You’ll be design-curious, sharing things with the team you find interesting from the world of design and want to work in a small but growing agency where you can have a real impact.

Requirements

What you’ll have:

  • 4+ years experience

  • Strong Adobe Creative Suite and retouching skills

  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of the artworking and repro process

  • An eye for detail and consistencies

  • Amazing layout and typography skills

  • Previous experience working within brand guidelines

  • The ability to work across a number of projects at one time and change priority as requirements change to meet deadlines

  • Ability to work with fast-paced approach; hands-on and practical

  • Excellent written and verbal communications

  • HTML e-mails, animated banners and HTML5 web experience is an advantage

What you’ll get:

  • Great job satisfaction (you’ll own and work on a variety of design projects)

  • Free on-site parking (if needed)

  • Competitive salary and job progression as we grow further

  • Pension contributions

  • A decent annual birthday experience (including presents, cake, the occasional inflatable unicorn)

  • Input into the studio’s Spotify playlists (unless your music taste is questionable)

  • Decent cups of tea/coffee (sometimes they’ll even be made for you)

How to Apply

Please email your CV, PDF portfolio (or link) and a packaged sample of your best artwork (set up and ready to go so we can cast our eyes over it) to: studio@february.agency subject ‘Artworker role’ and we’ll come back to those we’d like to invite in for an interview.
