Gallery Associate is the ideal role for someone who enjoys interacting with people and meeting sales goals, has a great aesthetic sensibility and knowledge of art and design, and is media savvy with excellent photography skills.

The job role combines sales and media/marketing responsibilities. Sales take place both through in-person interaction with clients as well as online inquiries. The photography work is mainly related to content creation for social media, but can include more technical imagery work such as working with Lightroom Catalogs, understanding how to capture accurate color, editing images in photoshop, etc.

Compensation: base salary is $25-30/hr (depending on photography related technical skills), plus commissions on sales. Paid time off and 401k plan also included.

Responsibilities

Interact with clients online via email and social media as well as in person for the purpose of making sales.

Take responsibility for all aspects of a sale from initial inquiry to closing and any follow up.

Interact with vendors as needed for sales and marketing purposes.

Manage social media accounts, utilizing our in-house image library as well as creating new content.

Update selling platforms such as 1st Dibs.

Review website content for errors/oversights and report them to Website Manager.

Requirements

Must be Windows PC literate, high WPM touch typing preferred.

Good social skills both on social media and IRL is necessary.

Knowledge of art and design either through education or work experience.

Familiarity with selling platforms such as 1st Dibs and/or general website updating.

Technical knowledge of photography using a DSLR, Lightroom and Photoshop is necessary. More advanced technical skills such as color management and working with strobes a plus.

A car is required as we are located in the Hollywood Hills and there is no public transportation nearby.
