Holly Baxter & Associates Art Advisory seeks an intern/junior associate with an interest in contemporary art, a passion and expertise with social media, and excellent administrative, writing and technical skills. We provide a multi-faceted experience working in the exciting and fast-paced world of art advising.
Hours and schedule flexible. Hourly pay based on prior experience.
Work can be done remotely with in person meetings if the candidate is based in San Francisco
Responsibilities
Collaborate on our social media strategy, channels and posts. Fluency with Instagram is a plus.
Assist with research, exhibition planning and events.
Collaborate on marketing strategies including email marketing and campaigns
Organizing shipment, delivery and installation logistics
Input and update data on our collection management database. Including inventory checks and reviews for clients
Collaborate on mailing list and other administrative responsibilities

About the art market and contemporary artists
How an art advisory firm operates
How to work with collectors, commercial galleries, auction houses and museums
Requirements
Proficient in MailChimp, Google Docs, and social media platforms. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop a plus
Prior experience with museums and art galleries is desired and preferred
Candidate with a background in art history is desired
Excellent research and writing skills
Knowledge of art history and contemporary art
Individuals that are professional, highly organized and self-starters
Desire to work in a fast-paced small business environment
