Jameson & Thompson Picture Framers has provided excellence in custom and full-service museum framing, art installation and transportation services, and art conservation in the Boston area for more than 35 years.
We are currently seeking a highly self-motivated candidate to develop and implement a strategic marketing plan that includes regular social media updates, segmented email campaigns, in person events, and design work as needed to promote the work of our team of craftspeople, conservators, and art handlers.
This position is based in our Jamaica Plain retail store. We have a beautiful new space with tons of natural light and we’re excited to expand our sales team to fill this new space. We intend to share this space with community partners and this candidate would also be responsible for scheduling/booking these events.
The job will also involve taking retail sales in our shop. We will provide training on all aspects of frame design and production, and selling the products to our clients, matching their framing needs with our offerings.

Develop and implement strategic marketing plan across a variety of media
Use CRM to segment and track client base, use data driven techniques to come up with innovative marketing approaches
Design printed and digital content as needed
Scheduling events in 3rd floor space
Framing sales/design work as needed
Answer phones, handle customer requests as needed
Learn the products & framing choices offered, where & when each can be used, and assist customers in the selection of the best product for their needs
Take appointments as set by our customer service team, as well as generate your own leads and referral sources
Promote products/services to new and existing customers
Proper handling of artwork during intake and sales process
Accurately measure artwork and input all frame specifications into POS database
Confirm framing details with client, generate invoices, and take payment
2 years marketing experience for retail/service brand(s)
Expert in time management and personal organization
Experience managing brand content in a variety of social media environments
Comfort dealing with retail customers, managing customer experience
Engaged with and aware of contemporary design trends
