High-end art handling company seeks an experienced (5-10 years), meticulous and professional candidate to work as an Office Administrator within a fast-paced, challenging work environment. Applicant must have experience working in a fine art setting and be a motivated, independent individual who can collaborate well within a team dynamic to facilitate and support departmental needs. Position demands that candidate be highly attentive to detail, have an excellent phone manner and professional client correspondence. An ability to maintain office work flow, articulate and clearly communicate while maintaining a positive energy is a must.
Daily routine requires fielding heavy volume of phone calls and emails, cultivating and preserving client relationships, processing paperwork and maintaining both electronic and paper filing systems, providing estimates and assisting with scheduling, working within customized FileMaker Pro database, and performing general office upkeep and administrative tasks as needed.
Ideal candidate must have worked prior position/s with Fine Arts logistics in an office setting, ideally 5-10 years of experience in the field (BFA/MFA preferred). Familiarity with Mac, FileMaker Pro, Word, Excel, and Photoshop. Knowledge of materials and the handling of art and/or artifacts is essential, and knowledge of Mac, FileMaker Pro, Word, Excel, and Photoshop is key.
