Nino Mier Gallery

Nino Mier Gallery seeks an experienced Registrar to contribute to our rapidly expanding gallery. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years experience working in a gallery in a registration/collections management capacity and/or at a fine art shipping company in a coordination or account management role. Must be highly adept and proficient at high-volume international shipping. Experience with Artlogic a plus. A positive, can-do attitude, astute attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are all necessary.

This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, with some flexibility as needed to work evenings or weekends for special events. Salary commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

Manage exhibition and fair shipping & logistics

  • Coordinate high-volume international consolidations (export & import)

  • Assist with domestic and international post-sale shipping

  • Database management

  • Inventory control / collections management

  • Retrieve quotes and bids for framing, production, shipping, and storage

  • Manage onsite and off-site storage

  • Assist with management of preparators/handlers

  • Track and coordinate inventory on loan or consignment

Requirements

A minimum of 3 years of experience at a contemporary art gallery, fine art shipping company, or museum institution, in a registrar or relevant role

  • Knowledge of domestic and international shipping, packing and crating standards, and import/export and customs compliance in the U.S. and other countries

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized

  • Must demonstrate computer proficiency in: Mac, Google Workspace, Excel, Slack, Zoom

  • Proficiency with Artlogic or other inventory tracking database
