The Pit, a contemporary art gallery in Los Angeles and Palm Springs, is looking for an experienced Sales Associate with a focus on institutional and primary market sales. This is a part-time remote position with the possibility of moving to full-time upon review after sales quota has been met.

This position is responsible for handling sales outreach to the applicant’s personal client list for all shows and fairs. Applicants should already have an established and active clientele and the ability to manage all aspects of the sale cycle. The position can be held remotely with the option to work in person at The Pit Los Angeles or The Pit Palm Springs. The position does require remote attendance at one weekly sales meeting. This is a flexible part-time hourly position with the potential to move to full-time. Compensation is a combination of an hourly rate (commensurate with experience) plus commission. At least two years of sales experience at a commercial gallery or auction house is required with a proven track record in sales. Exceptional organizational and communication skills are essential.
