Museum quality fine arts picture frame shop is looking for a new framer with extensive matting experience to join our team. We are looking for a reliable self–starter with a dedication to superior craftsmanship.

matting, hinging, and fitting of our client work
measuring artwork and determining proper mat dimensions
updating location of art works with in the shop
maintaining a clean personal work area
organizing supplies and alerting management of materials to restock
at least 2 to 3 years in hinging and fitting
extensive knowledge of types of rice paper hinges and other non-invasive mounting methods
familiar with computerized mat cutting equipment
an ability to work systematically and take direction from worksheets
a deep understanding of materials and their properties, including but not limited to mats, acrylic/ glass glazing, and adhesives (specifically wheat starch paste)
takes pride in one’s craft and eagerly desires to increase skill set
mindful of work pace and production deadlines
knowledge of proper art handling and packaging procedures
team player who works well with others
