Art & Architecture Photo Studio

Photo studio specializing in art and architecture based in Los Angeles, California. We are looking for a photo editor and all around digital post-production wiz. Ideal candidate works magic using Photoshop and Lightroom to batch process, color correct, composite and retouch images for press, publication and catalogue raisonnés. This is a part-time position that will supplement the work of our in-house photo editor. Hours range between 20-40 hours per week depending on current projects. There is high potential for this to become a full-time position.

Responsibilities
  • Typical schedule is Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm

  • Work closely with photographers to produce images that meets company standards and client requirements

  • Heavy editing and image manipulation in Lightroom and Photoshop

  • Respond to clients’ request for re-edits, archived images, and answer general questions

  • Keep extensive archive organized and up-to-date

Compensation:

Highly competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience

Requirements
  • Based in Los Angeles, CA

  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom

  • Proficiency in Mac based systems and applications

  • Highly organized and have excellent time-management skills

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet tight deadlines

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

  • Team player, self-motivated, adaptable problem solver, and customer focused

  • Positive, easy-going attitude

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in photography or related field

  • 2+ years of work experience as photo editor

  • Competency in print preparation

  • Photography knowledge a plus

  • Passion for art and architecture
