The Development Associate provides general support to the Development department and administrative support to the Chief Development Officer.
Oversees the preparation and sending of letters and materials to acknowledge donations, memberships, memorials, and honorarium gifts; updates Raiser’s Edge (donor database) with the appropriate information, all in the prescribed timeframes
Partners in reporting of Annual Fund to goal status; tracks donation initiatives and assignments
Works with staff throughout the Museum to enter information gleaned from donor relationships into Raiser’s Edge
Researches and prepares donor profiles using established template
Manages routines, calendar, and projects associated with the Chief Development Officer
Schedules and prepares materials for Development Committee meetings
Ensures efficient workflow by upholding office supply inventory and equipment functionality
Supports department events, e.g. making room reservations, tracking and taking rsvp’s, scheduling tours, printing name tags. Attends and assists at museum events as assigned
Assists with special projects as assigned, and coordinates volunteers for larger department projects as needed
Assists with Membership hotline, processes gifts of Membership, manages problem applications
Prepares all check and purchase requests for department
Bachelor’s degree preferred and administrative experience required. Command of Google Suite or Microsoft Office for word processing, spreadsheet creation, and presentation development. Strong communication, coordination, organization and follow-up skills are required. Raiser’s Edge experience desired.
