Kevin Daly Architects (KDA) is seeking a experienced Graphic Designer to support marketing and digital identity in its Los Angeles office. The role will report directly to the Firm’s principal and senior staff to execute creative graphic work in a range of collaborative settings, internally and externally focused.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2-5 years of professional experience in graphic design with some background in, building, industrial or product design, and is looking for a long-term opportunity for the next phase of their career. They are a proven self-starter, able to identify areas of growth or opportunity and execute projects with minimal direction. While they are comfortable working autonomously, they can receive and incorporate feedback with grace. Finally, they work well under pressure, able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks at times with competing deadlines.
Primary Responsibilities
Update and manage the overall brand-aesthetic of KDA, is responsible for ensuring consistency throughout graphics, marketing material, or other collateral
Complete refresh of KDA website, ongoing content updates
Create and maintain brand standards and templates including those for proposals and presentation materials
Design and provide ongoing updates to office portfolio across a range of project types
Identify opportunities for enhancing the KDA visual brand, develop and execute strategies
Development and creation of content for KDA social media
Secondary Responsibilities
Work with marketing coordinator to compile proposals and competition entries
Coordinate project and office photography
Support staff as necessary for requests related to office graphics and technical support of marketing production assets
Required Qualifications – Candidates who do not meet these requirements will not be considered. This is not an entry level position.
BA in Graphic Design and a minimum of 2 years professional experience in graphic design
Knowledge of brand communication and digital marketing
Strong English language skills, especially editing
High proficiency in Adobe Suite, especially InDesign and Illustrator
Proficiency with UI/UX web design
Demonstrated time management & organizational skills – never miss a deadline.
Professional demeanor, able to interact with outside contacts and positively represent KDA
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in marketing and/or design within the AEC industry
Familiarity with architectural design terminology and communications
