Under the direction of the Director of Stewardship, the Development Associate will perform diversified duties related to the implementation of Special Events and general stewardship of our donors.
The qualified candidate will help with event related duties such as: event execution, guest list construction and maintenance, invitation mailings, RSVP tracking, confirmation phone calls, weekly and monthly event overview updates and distribution, and the processing of event work orders. The associate will also assist with stewardship initiatives and other projects to provide the highest level of service and attention to the institution’s top donors.
Bachelor’s degree required
One to three years of office experience preferred
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and work ethic
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle delicate and confidential information
Ability to multi-task, prioritize assignments and work in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to work both independently and as a team player
Strong professional demeanor and exemplary client service skills
Understanding and appreciation for important roles volunteer and staff play in institutional advancement
Advanced working knowledge of PC-based Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required
High level of comfort with database systems and an ability to extract data for the purpose of management reporting
Ability to work at evening events
35 hours per week
Mon–Fri, 9 am–5 pm; some evenings required for events
