The Marciano Art Foundation is seeking a part-time Visitor Services Supervisor who is primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Foundation during public hours. The candidate must possess strong communication and leadership skills to effectively resolve visitor related issues while maintaining a positive and composed demeanor. The Visitor Services Supervisor will report to the Director of Visitor Services (DVS), and will work alongside Lead Visitor Services Supervisors (VSS). The Visitor Services Supervisor will periodically work alongside the Office Administrator, Director of Building Management (DBM) and occasionally with the Director of Special Events and Communications. Supervisor must be flexible and will be asked to work evening shifts.
- Assist Lead Supervisors by generating daily post schedule and conduct weekly audits for shifts and tour
assignments
Daily on the floor support for Visitor Services Associates and Floor Leads during public hours
Monitors and tracks team performance and provides on the floor coaching and training
Monitors employee engagement with visitors and implements creative solutions to ensure a positive visitor
experience
Assisting VSS in conducting daily or weekly briefing/debriefing, scenario training, and quarterly staff meetings
Assist Floor Leads to resolve visitor related issues and medical emergencies
Coordinate with DBM on building maintenance issues and inventory management (i.e. radio)
Liaise with Office Administrator for ticketing, VIP guests, and general visitor inquiries
Support Lead Supervisors to facilitate training for new hires
Assist with exhibition openings, monthly programming and special events
Perform general clerical duties including filing, copying, mailing, and answering phones
Other duties as assigned
Schedule
Thursday-Sunday from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. Must be available to work evening events
Minimum of 6 months relevant professional experience
Proficient computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software (Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word
and PowerPoint), and email applications (Microsoft office Outlook). Must be proficient with Mac and PC based
applications. Graphic design is a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and multi-task is a must
Valid driver’s license, a plus
