Under the management of the Senior Creative Director and Director of Exhibition Planning & Admin, the Exhibitions & Curatorial Assistant is responsible for assisting with vital details of exhibition development, publications, archiving, and various collections projects. The position is chiefly concerned with providing research and administrative support to the Exhibitions department.

Support curatorial research efforts for all objects in the collections and in exhibitions by composing text for collateral materials, both digital and print, in line with standardized style guides, liaising with vinyl vendors for production as necessary
Provide administrative assistance to the Director of Exhibition Planning through researching vendors and soliciting competitive quotes from appropriate contractors in realization of exhibition design from artist(s)
Perform archiving duties through labeling and archiving of exhibition and collections images, corresponding text and artist-approved captions
Coordinate production of all Foundation publications, including developing project schedules, serving as primary point person among all parties, generating publications agreements with writers, assisting with researching writers for various projects
Monitor quantity on hand and order printed materials, as needed and as approved
Assist with organization and maintenance of collections/exhibition files and various departmental filing systems
Support production of bookstore merchandise for exhibitions
Track secondary market results at auction for artists in the collections, ensuring valuations are conducted as necessary
Knowledge of contemporary art required
Proficiency with exhibition-related software, including Excel and Adobe Photoshop/InDesign
Exceptional writing, proofreading, research, and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented; able to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
Basic knowledge of art maintenance practices
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college with a degree in fine art or art history required; Master’s Degree preferred
Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary
Two years’ experience in a museum, gallery, private collection, or cultural organization
