The Sarah Lawrence College Visual and Studio Arts Program announces a one-year guest appointment in sculpture beginning September 2019 with possible renewal of up to 3 years.
Artists with knowledge and ability to teach Site Specific sculpture are encouraged to apply. Candidates should be prepared to teach a broad range of students with varying degrees of experience, and as part of a liberal arts curriculum. This position requires 2 days on campus per week, as in addition to class hours, teaching includes regularly scheduled individual meetings with each student, a hallmark of Sarah Lawrence’s educational system.
Requirements include an MFA or equivalent, extensive exhibition record, two years college-level teaching, and experience and knowledge of current practices in sculpture, site specific art works, and related media.
