The Clark seeks an energetic, organized individual as a full-time curatorial assistant.
Responsibilities include a variety of duties, often research related, primarily advancing the curatorial department’s exhibition program, which includes single venue exhibitions as well as major international loan exhibitions organized by the Clark; the curatorial assistant will prepare and track correspondence regarding loans; research potential acquisitions; coordinate materials for publications; undertake permanent collection research; give tours and participate in public programs; contribute to exhibition and curatorial meetings; and assist in a number of projects as assigned by the Clark’s chief curator. The position is intended to serve as preparation for advanced careers in museum curatorial departments or for graduate study. It is a one-year position, renewable for a second year.
MA in art history preferred. Reading knowledge of French, Italian, Spanish or German also preferred.
