We seek a motivated candidate with 3-5 years of publicity experience for a full-time Account Manager position. The Account Manager will effectively lead media campaigns for a diverse roster of clients in the arts, design, and social justice sectors. This position is for remote work.
Develop and execute comprehensive media strategies to achieve maximum, positive coverage for clients
Actively build extensive network of journalists across different media sectors
Draft written content on behalf of clients, including bios, fact sheets, talking points, press releases, and pitch letters
Arrange interviews, media appointments, and client meetings
Organize events including press previews, dinners, etc.
Organize and successfully lead press trips
Draft agendas for client calls
Facilitate incoming press requests on behalf of clients
Research, read, and synthesize a high volume of information from different sources in order to facilitate effective media outreach and strategy
Attend client meetings and conference calls
Oversee team of Associate Account Managers and Account Associates
You are knowledgeable, passionate and support social justice and the Black Lives Matter movement.
You have 3-5 years of PR experience in a role that involves directly pitching journalists and achieving coverage on behalf of clients.
You are proactive and have a strong attention to detail.
You are capable of successfully balancing multiple projects with competing deadlines.
You are willing to go the extra mile to do a great job rather than a good job.
You are organized and efficient with your time
You are an active consumer of media and have a strong grasp on the media landscape across a range of topics and issues
You are proficient in in English as well as in MS Office,
You hold a college degree in any subject, preferably in the arts, humanities, journalism, communications, and media.
