Bernard Tschumi Architects has an opening for an administrative assistant in its New York office. The candidate will work directly with Bernard Tschumi as well as assist in different office capacities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Generating and responding to correspondence
Coordinating schedules and arranging travel and lodging
Maintaining and producing firm portfolios and photo archives
Responding to press requests
Developing and coordinating responses to RFQs and RFPs
Assisting with preparation and editing of articles, books, and other publications
Sourcing and maintaining supplies
Qualifications include:
B.A. and experience in an office environment, preferably an art or design context
Excellent organizational skills and attentiveness to details
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Facility with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (emphasis on InDesign)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
This is an entry-level position for an individual with a strong interest in contemporary architecture and culture.
Position is likely to start in early June. Salary commensurate with experience. Benefit package with health insurance provided. French language ability and some experience with IT are a plus but not required. All applicants must have legal US work status.
