Salon 94 is seeking to hire an Archives & Media Assistant to join our Archives, Media, and Design department. Candidates must possess an acute attention to detail, as well as strong organizational and time management skills. This is a part time position, with a 10:00am-6:00pm schedule three days a week. Candidates must be able to work Saturdays.
Support the Archives Department in a range of tasks, including:
In Photoshop, render scale images of artworks and create renderings of site-specific installation of artworks.
Track recent press and maintain up to date artist press-packs, designed in InDesign.
Create new exhibition pages and upload images of new artworks to website, along with full and accurate captions.
Save video files to server, edit in Premiere as needed, upload to Vimeo, and embed online on gallery website.
Additional duties within the archive department as assigned.
Requisite skills:
Highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop: must have experience working with adjustment layers, layer masks, gradients, advanced selection tools, perspective warp (Required)
Adobe InDesign, Bridge and Acrobat (Required)
G-Suite: Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar (Required)
Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, Powerpoint (Required)
Adobe Illustrator and Premiere (Preferred)
CMS experience (Preferred)
