Creative Consulting and Fabrication is currently seeking multidisciplinary fabricators and fabrication assistants to join our team full-time at our East New York Facility. We specialize in production of fine art objects and custom furniture from a range of traditional and non-traditional materials, with a concentration on cast objects.
Responsibilities
Ideal candidates should be:
highly confident in the quality of work they can produce
eager to learn and master new processes and materials
able to work at multiple levels of detail (understand where precision is critical and where it’s not)
willing to step in and up wherever necessary
committed to growing with our studio and working to push our capabilities further
Requirements
These are some of the processes that we preform at all times, candidates should have some experience in at least two areas.
Mold-making: silicone, plaster, fiberglass, rigid formwork
Casting: urethanes, epoxies, cement, aggregates
Sculpting: shaping, fairing, chasing - foam, resin, wood, clay
Finishing: sanding, resin polishing, spray work
Metal work - cutting , shaping , MIG - 1" tube , ¼" plate
Wood work - flat molds , jigs, CNC part assembly - MDF, plywood
CAD/CAM (no digital-only candidates, please)
Color theory / knowledge of pigments/dyes - Resin only
Shop / facility maintenance / Inventory control
Project management
Forklift operation
OR if you’re straight out of school and you have familiarity with basic wood and metal tools and are eager to learn new skills.
