Tanya Bonakdar Gallery, Los Angeles is looking for Art Handlers/Preparators for upcoming installations. Candidates must have previous gallery installation experience and live in Los Angeles. Hours will vary monthly depending on need and projects. Hourly wages are competitive and commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
Installation and deinstallation of gallery shows.
Installation and deinstallation of private viewing rooms.
Packing and preparing of artworks for various shipping needs.
General upkeep of the gallery including patching and painting walls.
Possible installation work outside of the gallery including clients homes and art fairs.
Condition reporting of artworks.
Requirements
The ideal candidates have the following:
Experience in gallery and/or museum installations.
Knowledge of best practices while handling artworks.
Great attention to detail and safety.
Have great communications skills and a positive, professional attitude.
