Art Crating, Inc., a high-end fine art service of 36 years, located in Greenpoint-Brooklyn, performs some of the most challenging and exciting art handling in our industry. Joining our team offers a unique opportunity for experience and growth. Many of the jobs we do are uniquely complex and demand a variety of skills and ingenuity. We are currently expanding our expert art handling and installation team by seeking experienced and highly skilled handlers. We are specifically looking for handlers with experience in some or all of the following:
Responsibilities
Machinery operation: scissor lift, forklift, telehandler, articulating boom lift and truck driving experience.
Rigging: scaffold assembly, knowledge of slings, gantry & chain hoist, mechanical and hydraulic lifting equipment and experience working with or around crane operations, including ground support
Experience in woodworking and metalworking tools; Priority consideration is given to those with carpentry and welding skills.
Requirements
Problem solving aptitude as it applies to design and fabrication of various moving structures for handling delicate and heavy fine art in all mediums.
Ability to maintain workflow, communicate ideas, and work with others in our highly skilled team.
Understanding and meeting the expectations of our clients with the ability to develop trust and long-lasting relationships them
