We are recruiting for the position of Sales Director for our downtown Austin, TX location. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious self-starter with proven sales and sales management experience as well as connections in the global art scene and their own client base.
Responsibilities
Maintaining a deep understanding of the contemporary art market as a whole and specifically our artists, their works and biography.
Effectively manage a network of clients and contacts to promote gallery exhibitions and sales.
Oversee our online efforts with immediate response and appropriate follow up.
Co-manage the smooth running of the gallery.
Available to travel and manage our participation in various art fairs.
The ability to lead, manage and hold accountable a team of art consultants
Requirements
Previous experience in a similar role in the art market.
Ability to self-manage with a strong sense of urgency and attention to details.
Strong communication skills, approachable and comfortable interacting with a diverse client base.
Effective use of a CRM.
Experience hiring, training, inspiring and holding accountable a team of art consultants.
Proven performance.
Pay range: Commensurate with experience.
