Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assisting in the production of artwork under the direction of the artist. Specific skills to be utilized include but are not limited to sewing (machine embroidery) and painting.

• Availability to work Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, with the opportunity to take on extended hours when needed by artist.

• Availability to begin training for position mid-late April 2022. Required to assist in studio at minimum through the completion of the artist’s upcoming exhibition to open in July 2022.

The position requires a dedicated candidate who is hard-working, personable, and with training in conventional aspects of painting Ability to take direction with attention to detail is mandatory. BFA or MFA degree required and previous experience assisting in an artist’s studio is strongly preferred. Candidate should posses a knowledge of contemporary art and art history with a studio practice of their own.

Competitive compensation offered based on experience.

This position is part-time and is located in Los Angeles. Hours will typically be 24 per week, but could increase on temporary basis during exhibitions.
