Andrew Kreps Gallery is currently seeking an experienced part-time Assistant to the Directors for immediate hire.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Issue and manage written correspondence on Directors’ behalf and track responses and/or follow up
Contact management & maintenance (entry of new contacts made at art fairs)
Update and maintain calendar with travel dates and Directors’ Appointments, as needed
Aid in travel accommodations
Create Sales PDF’s in Indesign for Directors of available works as requested
Update Artist Press Packs and Bios
Send out books and press packets on Directors’ behalf
Alert Directors when clients/collectors are in the gallery
Open, disperse and manage invites, events, dinners, guest lists & RSVPs and update calendars as needed
Alongside Registrar and Directors, update and maintain inventory with prices and new work details and communicate as appropriate
Assist with details for external consignments and follow up on expiration dates and pricing information in collaboration with Directors and Registrar
The ideal candidate should have experience working in an administrative and sales support role in a commercial gallery or similar arts-related setting, as well as proficiency with art database systems such as Artlogic and sales tools like ArtBinder.
