COMPENSATION:

Commensurate based on experience

SUMMARY:

This is an entry-level position. Responsible for the processing and presentation of consignment items which includes sorting, cleaning, labeling, and some data entry.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pre-auction tasks

o Unpack incoming shipments, entering item information into the computer system accurately

o Prepare (sort, clean, and label) items for photography and auction

o Complete email and verbal requests in a timely manner

o Prepare consignment paperwork for clients on occasion

o Adhere to strict security protocols

o Attend public jewelry previews and assist with lot viewing

o Other administrative duties as assigned by the department supervisors

Post-auction tasks

o Prepare orders for shipping in compliance with established procedures

o Ship orders immediately after auctions

o Process and forward items remaining onsite until payments are received

o Ensure all unsold items are returned or placed into a future auction

o Inform supervisors of any discrepancies or issues

o Other duties may be assigned

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment is preferred

  • Prior experience communicating with clients verbally and over email preferred

  • Interest in Jewelry or watches is a plus

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, specifically Outlook and Excel

  • Ability to multitask and pay great attention to detail

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Individuals must be able to multitask in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

  • Must be comfortable with a mixture of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time each day

  • Some extended or weekend hours may be assigned based on business needs or workload
