Wanted! A cool-under-pressure, A/V expert to confidently lead the smooth production of events at The Center for Fiction. Technical proficiency and eagerness to master all the amazing capabilities of our in-house system are a must. The person in this role reports to the Director of Public Programming and works closely with the Executive Director.
Responsible for all aspects of technical production including: room set-up and strike, mic’ing guests, audio and video recording, and event photography
Schedule and supervise a team of paid event interns to assist with front of house duties
Work with marketing team to ensure the timely delivery of event materials
Daily application of A/V expertise and the ability to speedily master and vigilantly maintain The Center’s venue-specific system
Must have experience with a range of industry-standard A/V equipment
Can quickly assess and troubleshoot live production issues in real time with professionalism
Can take and give direction and adapt to change quickly
Knowledge of Newtek Tricaster Mini HD4, Mackie DL32R, Planar VCS video walls, and Dante routing preferred
Experience in editing video and audio is a plus!

Commitment
This is a part-time position that varies with the events schedule from week to week, but has mostly evening and occasional daytime hours; schedule is flexible.
