We are seeking experienced woodworker/cabinetmaker to join our team in a fun and flexible workspace in the heart of Baltimore. We need a real pro who can be responsible for construction of all casework and display elements for permanent and temporary exhibitions, assist in delivery of casework between the museum and offsite woodshop, and assist with installation of artwork as needed.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities:

  • Construction and finishing of conservation approved casework and display elements for all exhibitions.

  • Maintenance of off-site woodshop.

  • Maintain an inventory of materials needed for past and future projects.

  • Spray booth experience a big plus.

  • Assist in moving, storing and inventorying existing casework.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • 3 Years experience in a production woodshop or equivalent experience.

  • Abitlity to make precise cuts, produce cases from drawings, and work within a tolerance of 1/8" (minimum)

  • Ability to work efficiently and safely alone

  • Ability to maintain and fix woodshop tools including table saw, chop saw, routers, sanders and panel saws.

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs

  • Drivers License and ability to drive a box truck preferred
