Rago/Wright/LAMA is looking for experienced Client Services associate to join our growing Fine Art team in New Jersey. Qualified candidates will be knowledgeable in fields of modern and contemporary art. This position requires a passionate and hard-working individual with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities and execute across a wide range of tasks.
Responsibilities
Customer service in a wide range of areas from general inquires via phone, web chat and gallery visits
Assisting specialists with initial research and identification of items being considered for consignment
Communicating with consignors regarding estimates, terms and answering questions about consignment process
Assisting shipping team with details required to facilitate collection of consignments
Data entry and record management pertaining to all consignments in regards to descriptions and contracts
Proofing catalogs and condition reports prior to publication
Addressing and entering bid and condition report inquiries
Preview staffing
Day of sale auction assistance
Requirements
1 year experience in a gallery, auction house or arts-related organization
A minimum of a BA degree, preferably in Art, Art History or Design
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
The ideal candidate will also possess:
- Prior knowledge or experience in the auction industry
