Poetic Justice is an artist-led and social-justice-focused group at MIT Media Lab. We research intersectional issues such as racial and environmental justice and develop large-scale participatory public artworks in collaboration with communities and institutions. Our works range from sound and video to installation and can be experienced over the phone, online, in galleries and on the streets. Our current projects include a series of ongoing sound and video portraits featuring crowdsourced phone and webcam recordings and internet archives which are remixed into evolving poetic collages.
