MUBI is a curated cinema streaming service available in over 190 countries around the world. Everyday, we present a new film. There are always 30 hand-picked films to watch on our platform.

MUBI is a fast-moving company with 80 people located in our offices in London, New York and Kuala Lumpur; and as such exciting, new opportunities arise frequently.

We are seeking a graphic designer with an interest in film and who can work across disciplines including print, digital and video. As a full-time member of MUBI’s London design team you will be working directly with our Creative Director Pablo Martín.

You will also work with our design partners, SPIN. You will be working closely with Tony Brook and Claudia Klat.

The candidate must have a contemporary design aesthetic, proven conceptual and executional abilities, and a track record in designing compelling experiences in digital, mobile, print and video.

Responsibilities

Working on creative solutions to promote our curated film programming, including:

  • Film posters for theatrical and digital releases

  • Social media assets

  • Print and digital ads

  • Building/updating micro sites for film releases on wordpress

  • Collaborate with editors on video promotions (typography / design for trailers)

Film Festivals and Partnerships

  • Creating unique visual identities for our partner events

  • Invitation design (print and digital)

  • Promotional materials

Branding

  • Exploring new ideas for our branding and working with different media

  • Ads for print and digital (static and moving image)

  • Video

Requirements

SKILLS NEEDED

  • Confident in typography and branding

  • Strong ability to visualise layouts/ideas, skilful art direction

  • Strong attention to detail, thoroughness, thinking outside the box, innovative

  • A team player. Comfortable working independently and collaborating with others

  • Motion graphics experience optional

  • Can take up the responsibility of the projects

  • Comfortable with trying different approaches for different projects

  • Self-initiate ideas and proactively contribute to briefs.

  • An ability to intelligently execute and evolve brand guidelines

Knowledge & Technical

  • Formal design education

  • Good grasp and practice of UX (User Experience) design.

  • Good understanding and experience of graphics production techniques, including image manipulation, editing and compositing in all media.

  • Professional level: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop

  • Intermediate level: Premiere Pro, After Effects

  • Full time (at least 2-3 years experience)

  • Professions: Graphic Design, Digital Design
