Other Means

Other Means designs dynamic visual languages and develops brand strategies that excel in digital environments. A sense of humor defines our practice as we play with words to shape meaning and borrow from, challenge, and mutate established traditions to create something new. Rather than timeless, neutral systems that transfer information, our projects introduce friction to catch audiences off-guard, encouraging them to take notice and increase their awareness. This unique way of working ensures that the visual languages we create for our clients develop naturally over time, alongside their missions and programs—outlasting the cultural moment in which they were conceived. As experts in the art world, we have spent the last decade launching new institutions, reintroducing legacy organizations, and working one-on-one with directors, key staff, stakeholders, and audience members. This enables us to bring extensive experience to our collaborations with a range of clients across different sectors and reinforce our belief that design can impact and shape culture.
