MAK Center for Art and Architecture

The MAK Center for Art and Architecture, Los Angeles is seeking a new director to assume primary responsibility for the management of all operations for this ambitious and successful non-profit arts organization.

Responsibilities

The Director implements the annual business plan as approved at the Annual Board Meeting of the MAK Center in regard to programming, financial obligations, personnel management and execution of daily activities of the MAK Center. The Director’s responsibilities include:

  • programming, in accordance with the Artistic Director of the MAK Vienna

  • curating art and architecture exhibitions

  • fundraising and financial management

  • personnel management

  • support in the ongoing Conservation Master Plan (CMP) process

Requirements

Potential candidates should have substantial experience in museum / non-profit leadership, including fundraising achievements and significant curatorial / programming contributions to contemporary art and architecture.
