Responsibilities
  • Own small to mid size projects

  • Partner with copy lead to contribute to the creation of interactive design concepts through active participation in brainstorms and other idea-generating sessions

  • Work with more senior staff to ensure that creative exceeds space150 and clients’ expectations

  • Create and execute award-winning work that achieves clients’ objectives

  • Understand the creative direction set forth for each project and develop work that supports that direction

  • Inform insightful design ideas based on competent knowledge of client’s business objectives, brand, consumer, and competitive landscape

  • Develop conceptual skills and exhibit strong executional skills

  • Use feedback/direction from creative lead to generate multiple design explorations and iterate designs to the satisfaction of lead

  • Design mood boards, comps (with and without wireframes), concept sketches, presentation decks, and storyboards under minimal direction of the project’s creative lead

  • Implement and execute design direction based on guidelines into digital assets including banners, emails, presentation desk, and small site builds

Requirements
  • Strong time management skills

  • Understand the various departments and how various roles work within those departments (BA, strategy, UX, etc)

  • Push yourself to think beyond what the client has asked for

  • Objectively look at brand without the subjectivity of your personal taste

  • Expand personal knowledge of design, current state-of-the-art techniques, and digital best practices

  • Understand the production process (i.e. optimizing graphics, compression settings, and file size and image optimization)

  • Be highly responsible, collaborative, and self-motivated

  • Enthusiastically and respectfully work with other project team members

  • Understand how a project team operates, what their responsibilities are throughout a project, and what is expected in critiques and team meetings

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR FROM YOU

  • 2+ years of digital and/or graphic design experience

  • Strong, diverse creative portfolio

  • Able to command different visual styles/tones using latest creative software

  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Final Cut Pro/Premiere, After Effects

  • Good presentation skills

  • Curiosity for new technologies and emerging trends
