Artsy is looking for a talented Editorial Production Coordinator to help with image research and securing visual assets for our editorial content. This is a 6-month, full-time, entry/junior level position that starts immediately.

The Editorial Production Coordinator will work closely with other members of Artsy’s Editorial Team, primarily with our Production Editor, and the brand design team. In this role, you will learn to source and organize image assets for articles and features, as well as produce layouts, publish stories, and contribute to the visual brand of Artsy Editorial. You will have the opportunity to undertake extensive independent image research and hone your outreach skills in finding the best, most compelling assets for a story.

Responsibilities
  • Secure image reproduction rights and handle daily asset management.

  • Lay out multiple stories per day prior to publication in the CMS.

  • Provide support in the production of editorial features and their visual direction.

  • Serve as the primary liaison with galleries, museums, auction houses, and other institutions for image permissions.

  • Ensure that images are properly credited and captioned.

  • Update article layouts for high traffic and evergreen stories.

  • Assist in maintaining team resources, documents, and processes as they relate to image rights.

  • Review daily test emails for quality assurance.

Requirements
  • You have a background in the arts and/or visual storytelling

  • You have a strong visual eye for what makes an image compelling, and are extremely detail-oriented

  • You have excellent project and time management skills, and know how to prioritize your work efficiently

  • You have customer/client facing experience and are extremely comfortable communicating with high profile clients with tact and diplomacy

  • You have experience using Photoshop or other comparable image editing software
