Job Summary

This position is a key member of the museum’s senior leadership team. They support the Executive Director in numerous ways, including financial analysis and budgeting preparation/tracking, in project management, as the museum’s human resources liaison, with donor and/or Advisory Board communications, meetings and other related initiatives, and a host of other high level matters.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  1. Manages the financial affairs of a division by monitoring expenditures and reimbursements and

advising management on financial matters.

  1. Manages the business operations and programs for the division.

  2. Coordinates human resources activities such as staffing coordination for the division.

  3. Provides guidance to administrators and staff regarding university and department policies and

procedures.

  1. Develops office procedures and implements administrative process changes.

  2. Supervises the administration functions of the department and composes or prepares reports and presentations.

Requirements

Minimum Education and Experience

Education Level: High School Diploma or equivalent

Field of Study: High School Diploma or equivalent

Years of Experience 8

Area of Experience: Experience in administrative and financial support services

Years of Experience: When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience.

Minimum Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of rules and regulations related to human resource administration, budgeting policies and practices, and contract and grants administration.

Desired Qualifications

Extensive financial analysis and project management experience; experience working with donors and board members; proactive, generous, positive; demonstrated successful experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including excel and powerpoint; experience with Prezi and high-level meetings a plus.
