A vital member of SITE SANTA FE, the Exhibition Manager oversees the planning, development, and execution of exhibitions at SITE SANTA FE. Working closely with curators and artists, this role involves managing all aspects of an exhibition’s lifecycle, from initial concept to de-installation, interfacing with a variety of departmental functions, contractors, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard. The Exhibition Manager reports to the Phillips Executive Director and supervises the Associate Registrar, Lead Preparator, and the exhibition crew.

Equivalent of 5 years’ experience in exhibition planning (or roles with transferable skills).
Strong project-management skills.
Experience managing exhibition budgets (or other large, multifaceted project-based budgets).
Knowledge of best practices with art handling & familiarity with museum standards of care and procedures.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.
Experience with digital and interactive exhibit technologies (preferred).
Experience with managing and leading a team and working with contractors and external entities.
Ability to prioritize and manage time, multitask, take initiative, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well, collaborate with staff, and maintain a high degree of professionalism in a dynamic and creative setting.
Computer literacy and competency in the MS Office Suite. Experience with CAD software preferred.
