The creative lead on projects, responsible for taking an idea from concept through to delivery. A motivated self-starter, passionate about design and interested to work on a range of different projects, the Creative Director will lead the project design team and work closely with the whole studio to realise the creative vision of a project.
Responsibilities
Create and develop design-led responses for pitches and briefs
Lead the design process on large projects with substantial budgets, taking them from
concept through to delivery
Work closely with the project team, having an awareness for the details on all aspects of the project
Lead and inspire the multi-disciplinary team of designers, animators and artists on a project, convening internal design discussions, reviews and critical feedback
Deliver internal and client-facing design presentations
Attend client-facing design meetings
Work closely with the senior design department to plan and schedule the design process, including resource allocation
Be part of the ongoing creative dialogue, skills-exchange and learning environment within the design studio
Identify opportunities for departmental development in both creative and technical areas
Requirements
Substantial creative directing/art directing/video design/animation experience (7+ years) in both still and moving image
Proven experience of creatively leading a multi-disciplinary design team
Strong communicator with both clients and team, who can convey your creative ideas with passion as well as manage expectations
Highly proficient in Adobe Suite
Experience of working on storyboards, look frames and visualisations
Able to manage multiple projects at once, make decisions under pressure and work to deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
Proven ability and willingness to work as part of a broad team across different disciplines
