Museum Voorlinden is a museum for modern and contemporary art, located on the estate of the same name in Wassenaar. In addition to changing presentations from its own collection, Museum Voorlinden also presents temporary solo exhibitions and various permanent artworks. The museum’s collection consists of a wide range of media, including painting, sculpture, photography, video works, installations and artists’ books.
We run the museum with a small enthusiastic staff team. We make exhibitions, coordinate loans to national and international museums and maintain contact with artists, galleries and auction houses. We also organize guided tours through both the museum and our sculpture garden in Wassenaar. In addition, our team is involved in the peripheral programming around the exhibitions and openings in and around the museum.
We are immediately looking for an Office Manager for 40 hours a week.
Do you want to be the first point of contact for the museum? In addition to answering the telephone and customer care, you support the back office with various administrative activities such as sending invitations to openings, archiving mail, ordering lunch, keeping track of office items etc.
It is important that the quality, quantity and progress of your own work is guaranteed. You use your time and resources efficiently.
Hereby a small selection of the activities and competences that we ask of you:
Incoming and outgoing communication such as telephone traffic, mail and e-mail, you are the first point of contact for Voorlinden
The activities focus on preparing and supporting internal employees.
Accurate keeping of the general e-mail box of Voorlinden, posting second-line questions internally
Maintaining the address file
Executing preliminary work regarding orders and, where necessary, also executing orders.
Assisting in keeping the office tidy.
A flexible and service-oriented work attitude.
Representative, proactive and accurate.
The knowledge required for this position must be equivalent to MBO in terms of content and level, and there is good knowledge of office-related products and the Archie CRM program.
Experience of at least a year as an office manager or administrative assistant. You live in the immediate vicinity of Wassenaar or The Hague.
- This is a vacancy for 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Salary based on 40 hours depends on your experience. The working hours are from 8.30 am to 5.15 pm.
